52km – 42mins Drive to the beautiful village of Mijas

Mijas Pueblo has so much to offer, its tiny traditional Andalucian cobbled streets are dotted with picturesqe squares with things to see around every corner. from its vantage point you can gaze out across the Costa Del Sol. This stunning white washed village is friendly and welcoming, and has been protected since 1969 as a Historic-Artistic Village.

Its attractions include, Mijas Bullring no longer host bull fights and is now open as tourist attraction. The streets are fulled with bars & restaurants and artisan shops selling local products such as pottery & Leather. The traditional mule taxis are highly promoted by the locals however, although they are a pleasent site we personaly wouldn’t use them, even with the harness & Carts. (Not our thing). There are numerous viewing points around the village one of which, (Mirador del compas) near the main car park, has the unusual church built into the rock. (La Ermita de la Virgen de la Pena)

One of the famous features are (Garrapinadas) roasted nut stalls, fried in boiling caramel as you wait. There is also a minature museum and the Casa Museo within the village.
